Harrison Country Club

To our Loyal Customers.

As you may have heard, changes are afoot at Sasquatch Springs. The purpose of this letter is to officially inform you of the changes which will take place and to allow you to see how these will affect you.
After 22 years of hosting campers from all over the world, we are getting out of the overnight tourism and hospitality business. When Sasquatch Springs closes on Oct 8th, it will not re-open in 2008.
The property will be transformed into a private camping club called “Harrison Country Club”. The objective is to create a more tranquil resort setting with a lot less people, a lot less traffic, a lot less noise and a generally more restful place for people to relax in.  The members will enjoy a higher degree of privacy, more open space to enjoy and enhanced facilities and services. The new gate will be controlled by key cards and, though the office will not be open very much, there will be a caretaker onsite to deal with any situation which arises.
All of the canoes, kayaks, games and other amenities will be available to members to use at no charge. Cable TV has already been upgraded to 40 channels. Wifi internet connection will be installed . More of the roads will be paved and landscaping changed as the sites are re-engineered to suit larger units and more-permanent use.  All sites will have patios and these will be customised to suit the RVs using them. Additional privacy fencing will be installed and members will be allowed to add landscaping to their sites.
A new marquee tent will be installed where the teepee was and this will be the site of social activities, including happy hour, BBQs and campfire nights.  The rec room will be upgraded to a clubhouse standard and it is hoped that it will become a meeting place.
. Membership will be for 12 months and members may use their RVs year-round, though there will be a limitation on water supply in the winter.
While we have made the commitment to create this new resort, we are still working on the budget so final pricing is not yet confirmed.  We expect that it will cost about 50% more than it has and have several strategies to keep it affordable for you.  All of our current seasonal guests will enjoy a “loyalty discount” which will reflect their years of camping with us.  All of our seasonal guests will be given first choice to keep their current sites.  When we have determined which new sites will become available, these will first be offered to our current seasonal guests before being offered to the general public.
As has been our practice, there will be a small premium on riverside sites. We will also have several  “premium sites” for larger units.
